Have you ever felt as though some event or thing was perfectly placed in your life? As though everything was leading up to a certain moment with an intentionality and purpose you couldn't have planned on your own? Or even on a smaller scale, have you ever felt some object or vision become so full of meaning that it could easily be a symbol in a novel somewhere you haven't read yet? It seems in these moments as though our lives are stories and someone out there must be writing them. That's what I want to chase here.
Hi, I'm Margaret! Welcome to my little corner of the internet. "Heaven-handling" is a phrase that initially caught my eye in a Gerard Manley Hopkins poem, but for me it's come to refer to the larger act of handling the details of our life stories, the stories God is imagining and infusing with heaven. Here you'll find lots of sky pictures and poetical words as I try to sort through my days and find my Author's signature.
Let's notice the details hidden in our stories together. Let's connect the dots to see where they lead us. Maybe we will go twirling down lanes of line after line, circling upon each other—only to find it was His fingerprint all along. Maybe we will go swirling forward in loops and flourishes—only to find it was His signature. Do you know what He's written on your soul?
